96 - Do the Drew: Part III

May 3, 2019

In the 2000s, Drew went from wild child to lady boss. Star! Producer! Director! Entrepreneur! Wife! Ex-Wife! Mother! Barrymore has tackled all these and more, but the fangirls have some suggestions for her next role. Video game creator? Sure, why not. A Barrymore Box? Would subscribe. Podcast host? Absolutely. And this week in fangirling: flare jeans and a Charlie's Angels reunion.

Is Drew Barrymore the ultimate 90s girl? Is Poison Ivy an under-appreciated movie? How can one appropriately talk about Never Been Kissed? The fangirls attempt to answer all of these questions and more in this week's tribute episode to Drew's wildchild era. And this week in fangirling: Barry, Killing Eve, Lauren Hutton and Busy Philipps' glow.

94 - Do the Drew: Part I

April 19, 2019

Annnnnnndddd....they're back. After a two week hiatus, the ladies have returned to discuss one of their favorite ladies: Drew Barrymore! Born from Hollywood royalty, the early years of Drew's life were chaotic, but laid the foundation for her rise to fame. And this week in fangirling: What We Do In The Shadows, Fosse, and Beyoncé's Homecoming (duh).

Side note: Maren now realizes (thank you, Natalie) that the red dress photo of Drew Barrymore is NOT the "Just Say No To Drugs" photo. Apparently Drew was chummy with the Reagans and had multiple photo ops.

90 - Sham Bands: ’80s

The '80s were an eclectic time for fictional bands. Jem and The Holograms gave us many a bop, Sexual Chocolate gave us the mic drop and Spinal Tap gave us an icon.  And this week in fangirling: Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes and Dr. Jart+ rubber masks.

Side note: The Fangirls do NOT know anything about Star Wars, but we have learned that The Cantina Band is called Figrin D’an and the Modal NodesAdditionally, we now realize it's a pageant in Coming to America and the song performed in the pod is actually "Rock 'N' Roll Creation." SIGH.

And this week in fangirling: Ash vs. Evil Dead, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman and Amal Clooney.

And this week in fangirling: Netflix's Dumplin' (sort of) and Saltines.
