91 - Sham Bands: ’90s

The '90s were jam packed with fictional jams. From the perfect covers of Crucial Taunt to the GIFT that is "That Thing You Do," we truly were not worthy. And this week in fangirling: The LA Municipal Dance Group's guided dance party and pantry organization (yeah. for real.) 

Also, RIP Luke Perry. We're still not ready to talk about it.

90 - Sham Bands: ’80s

The '80s were an eclectic time for fictional bands. Jem and The Holograms gave us many a bop, Sexual Chocolate gave us the mic drop and Spinal Tap gave us an icon.  And this week in fangirling: Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes and Dr. Jart+ rubber masks. 

Side note: The Fangirls do NOT know anything about Star Wars, but we have learned that The Cantina Band is called Figrin D’an and the Modal NodesAdditionally, we now realize it's a pageant in Coming to America and the song performed in the pod is actually "Rock 'N' Roll Creation." SIGH.

89 - Sham Bands: ’60s/’70s

The Fangirls are BACK! Are they healthy? Maybe. Are they rusty AF? Definitely. But nothing could get in the way of the great fictional bands from the '60s and '70s. From the bubblegum pop of The Monkees and The Archies to the phenomenon of The Blues Brothers, music made-for-the-screen was topping all the charts. And this week in fangirling: Ash vs. Evil Dead, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman and Amal Clooney.
